I focus on using natural light and capturing the beauty of each unique setting. By documenting the moments as they unfold, I create visually stunning images and videos that authentically reflect the essence of the scene.
Most of my work focuses on candid moments. I prefer to avoid staging shots and instead aim to capture things as they naturally unfold. In the event that there are staged moments you'd like to capture, I'm happy to work from a shot list. Ultimately, just let the day happen naturally!
I’m passionate about travel, so the answer is definitely yes! Although I’m based in Beachburg, Canada, I love exploring new cities during my free time. Filming weddings while discovering new places is something I always look forward to.
When reaching out, please include the location and venue details, and we can discuss rates and any additional options.
To reserve my services for your wedding, a 50% non-refundable retainer fee and a signed contract are required. The remaining balance is due three weeks before your event. If you’d like to discuss a different payment plan, don't hesitate to reach out—I'm happy to accommodate flexible payment options.
I’ll keep it simple—I'm a one-man operation. I use up to three different cameras throughout the day, all capable of shooting in 4K resolution for video and high megapixel count for photography, to ensure your highlights film/photos are top quality. I aim to keep things discreet, so I carefully select lightweight gear like cameras, tripods, and light stands to minimize my footprint.
I’m happy to offer RAW photo and video files as an add-on, which can be purchased either before or after your event. All viewable and audible photo/video content, including audio, will be delivered on a hard drive. Please note that this footage will be unedited and consist of hundreds of individual files.
Getting Ready
For my filming style, I always suggest my couples plan for some extra time during the early preparations. These moments add so much to the story of your day. Since I usually shoot solo, I typically start with the groom’s prep, which I like to capture for at least 30 minutes. After that, I’ll spend around an hour with the bridal prep. There’s so much to capture during this time—getting ready, the first look with parents, exchanging gifts, toasts, and reading letters. One thing to keep in mind: if you're not getting ready at the same venue as the ceremony, make sure to factor in travel time between locations.
First Look
If you’re considering a first look, it’s always such a special moment to capture on video. I love filming those authentic, emotional reactions between you and your partner. I’ll mic up your partner to catch all the little details of your interaction. If you decide against a first look, no worries at all! I’ll make sure to capture your partner’s reaction as you walk down the aisle.
Ceremony
This is where the magic happens! The ceremony itself is straightforward, but it does require some prep work on my end. I’ll need to arrive about 30 minutes before it begins to set up—this gives me time to set up tripods, work with the DJ on the sound, mic up the officiant (and anyone else speaking), and get some shots of the venue. If the venue allows, I’ll also try to capture some beautiful aerial shots with my drone. One thing I highly recommend is having an unplugged ceremony. It lets your guests be fully present in the moment and ensures no phones end up in your video. Trust me, you won’t regret it!
Reception
The party’s just getting started! This is probably the first time you’ll get to connect with your guests, and it’s a blast to film. If you need a little break, I suggest stepping away with your photographer and me for a quick session during the golden hour. The light is gorgeous at that time and it makes for amazing photos and video. I also love capturing the "blue hour," just after sunset—it’s a bit darker, but the footage is beautiful. These are just a few recommendations to help your day go smoothly, but ultimately, it’s your wedding—do what feels right for you!
